How to use these
Each chakra has six affirmations below. They are written to be short and steady, and to be said slowly. Tap an affirmation to light it up, and let your body notice what happens. Tap it again to let it rest.
If one doesn't feel true, skip it, or soften it. You can also let me choose one for you.

How to say an affirmation
so it lands
Offered as reflection and not as a prescription. Go slowly and stop any time.
- Choose one affirmation, and let it be almost believable. If it feels like a lie, soften the wording.
- Place a hand over the area of the body that matches the chakra, or just rest your hands in your lap.
- Take a slow breath in, and say the affirmation quietly or aloud on the exhale.
- Pause, and notice what your body does. Tightness, warmth, resistance or nothing at all are all information.
- Repeat it two or three times, then let it go and take three slow breaths before moving on.
If an affirmation stirs up something heavy, stop and ground in whatever way helps. A licensed trauma-informed therapist can offer support that goes beyond what an affirmation can.
When an affirmation falls flat
An affirmation can fail for a simple reason: the body doesn't believe it yet. Rather than forcing it, bring it closer to what feels true.
- Instead of I am safe, try I am learning what safe feels like.
- Instead of I am worthy of love, try I am open to being loved.
- Instead of I trust myself, try I can listen to myself a little more each day.
This is not a failure of the affirmation or of you. It is how the nervous system learns safety, slowly and in steps. See nervous system regulation for more.

Frequently asked questions
What are chakra affirmations?
Chakra affirmations are short, present-tense statements matched to the qualities of each of the seven chakras. You say them slowly, usually with your attention or a hand on that area of the body. They are a reflective practice, and not a medical treatment.
How do I use chakra affirmations?
Choose one that feels almost believable, take a slow breath, and say it quietly or aloud. Rest a hand over the related area of the body if you like, and notice how your body responds. Repeat it a few times, then let it go. Fewer, slower repetitions work better than a long list.
Why do affirmations sometimes feel like lies?
When the nervous system doesn't believe a statement, it can push back. If an affirmation feels false, soften it. Instead of "I am wealthy," try "I am learning to feel safe with money." The goal is a line your body can almost believe.
How many times a day should I say them?
There is no required number. Many people say one or two in the morning, or pause with one when they notice a pattern. A few quiet repetitions with attention are worth more than many rushed ones.
Which chakra should I start with?
Many people start with the root, because the lower centers are about safety, and the upper centers are easier to settle once the body feels supported. You can also begin with whichever center feels loudest. My blocked chakras page can help you find it.
Can I say all seven in one sitting?
Yes. A common order is root to crown, with one affirmation per chakra. Finish by pressing your feet into the floor and taking three slow breaths. My guided chakra meditation walks through it step by step.
Do affirmations replace therapy or medical care?
No. Affirmations are a complement, and they can't replace medical or mental health care. If a statement stirs up something heavy, stop and ground, and consider support from a licensed therapist.
Can Reiki be combined with chakra affirmations?
Many people like to say an affirmation while resting or after a Reiki session, when the body is settled. I can't promise a specific result. You can read what a session is like on Reiki chakra balancing.
