But some things need more than that. A pattern that keeps returning. A decision you can't settle. A heaviness you can't name. Those need someone to tune in to you specifically, and meet you exactly where you are.
That's what my 1:1 work is. Every session I offer is built around one person: you.
You don't have to have the right words. You just have to show up as you are.

Two ways to receive a live session
Every session includes verbal Reiki, spoken for you as it comes through. Live sessions can be held in either style.
Traditional hand positions · My default
Even though I'm not in the room with you, I talk you through each of the traditional Usui hand positions, front and then back, and move the Reiki from place to place at a distance while you rest fully clothed at home. Then I move into verbal Reiki for what you're carrying. The hand positions guide the session, and the Reiki goes where it's needed.

How distance Reiki reaches you
Reiki doesn't need us to be in the same room. As an attuned practitioner, I act as the bridge, and the energy meets you wherever you are: on your couch, in your bed, or resting with headphones on.
Distance Reiki is a traditional part of the practice, taught at Reiki II, and it's how I work with people all over the world.

Who you'll be working with
I'm Carissa Andrews. I became a Reiki Master in the Usui Shiki Ryoho lineage in 2008, and I teach Reiki through Sovereign Light. My work blends traditional Reiki with verbal activation and the frequency work of the Aureya field.
In a session, I'm not performing healing on you. I'm holding the space while your own energy finds its way back to flow.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need any Reiki experience?
No. You don't need training, belief, or any particular state of mind. You just need a quiet, comfortable place to receive.
What's the difference between a Frequency Drop and a live session?
Both are personal distance Reiki made for you. A Custom Frequency Drop is recorded for you to receive privately, on your own time. A live session happens in real time on Zoom, with the chance to talk through what came up, and you still receive your activation set to music afterward.
What happens in a live session?
We begin with a brief welcome and centering. Then, unless you've asked for the fully verbal style, I talk you through each of the traditional Usui hand positions and move the Reiki from place to place at a distance while you rest fully clothed at home, and then move into verbal Reiki. Sessions run at least an hour, and you're welcome to stay afterward to ask questions.
Can I choose the session style?
Yes. The traditional hand-position style is my default. If you love the activations on my YouTube channel, ask for the fully verbal activation style when you email to schedule. Package clients can choose session by session.
How do I schedule a live session?
After checkout, email me a few days and times that work for you, and we'll find a time together. Sessions happen on Zoom, so you can join from anywhere.
Where do I find my recording?
In your dashboard, within 3 to 5 days of your session or intake. Just log in, and it's yours to return to whenever you choose.
What is the Personalized Soul Journal?

Is distance Reiki as effective as in-person Reiki?
Distance Reiki is a traditional part of Reiki practice, taught at Reiki II. Many people find it just as restful and meaningful as in-person sessions. As with all Reiki, no specific outcome is promised.
Is this a replacement for medical or mental health care?
No. Reiki is a complementary practice offered for relaxation and spiritual wellbeing. It can sit alongside other care, but it is not a substitute for it.
