What Is the 9/9 Portal?Meaning, the Number Nine, and Three Reiki Activations
Last year asked you to finish something. This year is asking you to start it.

What is the 9/9 portal?
The 9/9 portal is a modern spiritual date, not an ancient tradition. It falls every year on September 9, and many people use it as a marker for completion and for the turn into what comes next. It's often called the 999 portal, because the date reads as a doubled nine.
This page holds three activations across two years: this year's, which looks forward, and two from last year, which close a cycle and then walk out of it.
You don't have to believe in portals to use the day. Think of it as a doorway in the calendar, a place to put down what's complete and notice what is opening.
What the number means
In numerology, 9 is the number of completion, wisdom and release. It is the last single digit, so it closes one cycle and crowns it at the same time. Add 9 and 9 and you reach 18, which reduces to 9 again.
This year's 9/9 is different from last year's. 2025 added up to a Universal Year 9, a full nine-year cycle closing out. 2026 adds up to a Universal Year 1, so the double-9 is still charged but the year beneath it has already turned over. Last year asked you to finish something. This year is asking you to start it.
Take or leave the numbers. They are a prompt for reflection, not a rule.
What the sky is doing around 9/9 this year
In 2026 the portal arrives with the Sun and Mercury in Virgo, and a New Moon in Virgo two days later.
The Sun in Virgo
About 17° Virgo
The sign of discernment and refinement, steady and clear after the heat of Leo.
Mercury in Virgo
About 28° Virgo
The planet of thought and speech is in its own sign, at the last degrees before Libra.
New Moon in Virgo
September 11, 18° Virgo
The Moon joins the Sun and Mercury in Virgo, and the New Moon follows two days after the portal.
The sky is atmosphere, not instruction. You don't need to track any of it to receive the activation. What widens here doesn't close again.
About the 2026 activation
The Stargate Widens is a guided Reiki activation built around the Virgo sky and the numerology of this particular 9/9. It explains why this year's portal is a beginning rather than a completion, then guides you through a Reiki activation calling in Aureya, Thoth, the Hathors, Archangel Gabriel and Gaia.
Release what you're braced against
You find your position, name the pattern, and call your energy home before the Reiki begins.
Rise through the body
Reiki moves from the root up through the heart and the throat as the stargate widens.
Receive your light codes
Light codes arrive for you to receive, not just understand, in whatever form you meet them.
Embody "I am opening"
A short embodiment practice, then grounding back down into the earth and a quiet integration.
You can listen any time, not only on September 9. Headphones are lovely but not required. Receive only what feels right, and if you drift off along the way, let yourself.
Part two: the New Moon in Virgo
The Stargate's Seed is where what widened here gets planted. It continues the work two days later, at the New Moon in Virgo.
Past activations: the 9/9 portal, 2025
Last year's 9/9 was a pair. The first closes a cycle, and the second walks out of it. Each is complete on its own, and there is no required order.
What Cannot Walk Forward With You
For the bracing your nervous system never got the memo to release: the tightness in the jaw and shoulders, held long after what it guarded you from has ended. Reiki moves through the heart, solar plexus, sacral, root and crown, with Pisces waters, a rising violet fire and the 999 codes. It runs about 36 minutes.

Where the Dawn Codes Land
The second half of the 999 portal work, for the hesitation still living in your legs, the part of you that crossed the threshold and hasn't quite believed it's safe to walk forward. Reiki moves through the heart, throat and third eye, then down through the legs and feet to anchor the dawn codes. It runs about 30 minutes.

Frequently asked questions
What is the 9/9 portal, and when is it?
It's a modern spiritual date many people use for completion and release. It falls every year on September 9.
Is the 9/9 portal the same as the 999 portal?
For most people, yes. The 999 portal usually refers to the same date, since 9/9 reads as a doubled nine. Some people also use 999 for any time they notice the number.
Which 9/9 activation should I start with?
Start with the 2026 activation, The Stargate Widens, if you are ready to begin something. If you are still finishing, start with What Cannot Walk Forward With You, then follow it with Where the Dawn Codes Land. Each is complete on its own.
Can I listen after September 9?
Yes. The activations aren't tied to a single day, and you can return to them whenever you are standing at a threshold, in any month.
You are already at the threshold.
Sovereign and supported.
